Role Description
Tressler LLP seeks an insurance defense litigation attorney to join our firm as an associate. This dynamic group handles matters involving professional liability, malpractice defense, aviation, employment, and general liability.
Though this position is remote, the attorney is expected to be available for onsite court appearances and depositions in Los Angeles and surrounding areas as needed.
Essential job duties include:
- Reviewing and analyzing new files from clients.
- Communicating and preparing status reports to clients.
- Drafting pleadings and motions.
- Conducting legal research when necessary.
- Issuing and answering written discovery.
- Preparing and leading depositions.
- Attending court hearings, mediations and trials in the Los Angeles area.
Qualifications
- Active California bar license
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Litigation experience
- Experience with medical malpractice defense a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional writing, organizational and advocacy skills
